ENSAT
Performed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) at a shopping
center and identified multiple environmental concerns including
the presence of an inactive landfill that extended onto the property.
Subsurface investigation that included soil and groundwater
sampling indicated that fill areas on the site were of limited extent,
and that any groundwater contamination on the site was moving away
from the property. ENSAT also conducted a fluorescent light ballast
survey to determine if PCB ballasts existing within the store and,
if so, to what extent. Serial numbers of selected ballasts were
recorded and compared with a manufacture-supplied list of serial
numbers from known PCB containing ballasts. All site concerns were
adequately addressed allowing the sale to proceed.
