ENSAT
was founded and grown as a site investigation and remediation company.
This work continues to be the primary, core service area of ENSAT's
consulting groups. We have designed, built, and operated numerous
remedial systems in the mid-Atlantic region, and we have a strong
reputation for technical competence and quality system installations
amongst the client and regulatory communities in the region. We
employ cost-effective and practical methods for site clean-up, stabilization,
transportation, and disposal to assure the safety and welfare of
your employees. ENSAT's team of geologists, engineers, and
field personnel, are prompt, accurate, and specialize in working
with government agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
Our
remediation and site investigation work has continuously expanded
over the years, while many competitors have contracted in this market
over the same period. In addition to our strong client-service orientation,
ENSAT possesses a uniquely efficient design-build capability, which
taps the greatest strengths of our combined consulting and construction
service groups. ENSAT also has a strong reputation for completing
investigations and remediation in very difficult situations, such
as under buildings and beneath roadways. This challenging work requires
special experience and innovative methods. Much of this work has
been completed in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
ENSAT
has performed literally hundreds of site investigations involving
releases of petroleum hydrocarbons. We have worked on numerous sites
contaminated with chlorinated hydrocarbons, and have extensive experience
with the specific technical concerns and fate and transport characteristics
of these chemicals.
ENSATs
experience in the area of groundwater supply in fractured rock settings
is particularly valuable and applicable to many site investigations
where contaminants have penetrated fractured bedrock. ENSAT has
successfully completed numerous cases of petroleum hydrocarbons
and chlorinated hydrocarbons in fractured bedrock, often where critical
groundwater supply aquifers have been impacted. Many consultants
lack extensive experience with the evaluation and characterization
of contaminant occurrence and movement in fractured bedrock aquifers.
